GSA provides this dictionary as a living repository of gaming industry terminology. Terms added to this dictionary can be categorized by
topic/subject matter, and jurisdictions where used. That means that when a term has different meanings for different jurisdictions or
when used in different contexts (such as within a GSA standard versus another standard), each usage can be identified in this dictionary.
The ultimate goal is to standardize gaming terminology industry wide. To do so, it is important to first accurately record how these
terms are currently used. From that base, we can then move toward standardized usage.
As of 2009, the GSA Dictionary is by no means a comprehensive listing of gaming terms. GSA members have merely
seeded the dictionary with definitions of terms used within its XML based standards. It is up to you, and representatives from all arms of the
gaming industry (regulatory, testing, manufacturing, operators, etc.), to help build the dictionary and standardize gaming terminology.
