Member Update

2004 has been a year of record growth for GSA. To date, our listing boasts 76 member companies!

New GSA Members

GSA asks you to join us in welcoming several new members. As of the printing of this newsletter, E-Genting Holdings has upgraded to Platinum membership. Argosy Gaming Company has shown its support at the Gold level, while Euro Games Technology, Nova Gaming and Holland Casinos joined at the Silver level.

New to the GSA Website

In an effort to keep our members informed, we strive to bring the most up to date information to our website. Recently we have added a new factsheet section, www.gamingstandards.com/education.html.

These factsheet's outline our major standards, BOB, S2S and GDS, in a clear, simple layout. GSA members are welcome to utilize them for education of their staff members.

Another new feature GSA has added to our website is a Product Support section. Here members can obtain technical support for the various tools GSA offers.

GSA's Circle of Excellence

The Gaming Standards Association's Circle of Excellence program was created in 2003. This program is designed to recognize individuals of member companies within our organization who have distinguished themselves through their extraordinary efforts and contributions towards the GSA goal of technical standardization of gaming device communication protocols.

New Asia Membership Committee

GSA is highly cognizant of the Asia market and the crucial role it has within the gaming industry. The GSA Board of Directors determined the creation of this committee would be of benefit to current members and non members alike. Recently appointed board member, Derrik Khoo Sin Huat of EGenting Holdings, will act as chairman. His primary goal will be to reach out to gaming affiliates within the Asia region and work to inform and educate them on the benefits of standardization.

Technical Committee Update

2004 has been a year of many achieved milestones. GSA’s Technical Committees have produced several groundbreaking standards and will continue to refine these standards in order to bring the best possible solution to the gaming industry.
