First and foremost I would like to wish everyone a very festive season filled with joy and happiness.
Our members have pulled off miracles this quarter - our demonstrations at G2E were very well received and despite the remote location, our booth was sought out and continuously busy. Multiple vendors worked very hard to show that standards offer interoperability. For the first time in the industry's history our open standards successfully demonstrated plug and play of multiple gaming devices and systems.
In December I was invited to travel to South Africa, Singapore and Macau. GSA is well respected there and these markets are eager to learn everything about GSA and its standards. They are all looking forward to purchasing GSA based products.
Asia is swiftly embracing all the latest technologies from telecommunication technologies to gaming standards. As we enter 2008, we enter our 10th year and are excited to reflect upon all our various accomplishments. Currently, we enjoy global recognition and for this reason, we need to ensure our standards are truly global.
2008 promises to be an amazing year for us; a celebration of successful collaboration between multiple competitors, the launch of our certification program, new services on our web site, the recruitment of an additional technical director to focus on S2S, the first Plug Festival, a new educational program and much more….
None of this would be possible if it were not for our members financial support as well as the commitment of the talented people that are participating in the multiple committees developing our standards. I look forward to seeing everyone in Europe during our first International Technical Meeting Week as we begin the New Year.
